“Badalavane” is pronounced bu (as in bud)-dha (as in the)-laa-vuh (as in verb)-ne (with an explosive N sound as in Ganesh). In Kannada, it means Change.
The artistic B, when rotated 90 degrees clockwise, becomes the Kannada letter equivalent of B, which is the first letter of the word Badalavane. The non standard depiction of the letter and its use in another language to denote a similar letter / sound, is symbolic of how change can be creatively effected. The colours in the letter are a full spectrum, that depict change and multiple variations, symbolic of multiple changes that one can trigger.
This website is all about change – drawn from my own experiences, experiments and theories. It is an effort to spread my thoughts and vision of change. It is also an attempt to partner other like-minded folks; wherever they are; seeking and offering help in our quest for change for the better.
The word “Change” in the context of this website and its tag line “Lets Change”, is both as a verb and as a noun. When used in the tagline, it is the verb. The idea is to join together and create change. The intent is to “act”; to effect change; to “change”.
I am based in (Incredible) India, and have had the fortune to travel widely in the country, and in Europe and Middle East. I am a post graduate in Management, and had been a programmer with COBOL when it was considered the frontier of technology.
Known to be relationships-focused and adept at embracing even adversity, I now look forward to catalysing change in communities.
That in substance is Badalavane. Welcome, thanks for stopping by, now Let’s Change.
